Chuck Jordan

Founding Partner

Chuck Jordan co-founded Arroyo with Mr. Field in 2003 and has over 30 years of experience in the power industry. Working alongside Mr. Field, Mr. Jordan directs the overall business development and daily operation and oversees transaction origination, negotiation and execution, as well as directing the commercial activities of Arroyo’s investments. Previously, Mr. Jordan developed extensive background in the domestic energy space from both a regulated and unregulated perspective while serving as a Director for Mirant Corporation, and as a Project Director for Southern Company. In this role, Mr. Jordan was part of the team that developed the initial business plan and strategy for Southern Power (a subsidiary of Southern Company with over 8,700 MW of generation today). While at Southern Company, he was one of four executives selected to participate in the firm’s two-year executive development program. The program included leadership assignments in corporate planning, trading, finance, asset development and fuels. Prior to this, Mr. Jordan was involved in all aspects of bulk power operations, trading and fleet optimization. Mr. Jordan began his career at Harris Corporation, a leader in generation dispatch control and interchange scheduling software. Mr. Jordan holds an MBA from the University of Alabama and a BS in electrical engineering from the University of South Alabama.
